What is the forecast for mortgage rates?

The rate now is lower than when I took out the mortgage (5.5% Massachusetts). The house is worth less though than when we bought it.
Would your best guess be that are they going to continue to fall? Or jump on now. And why do you think they’ll fall (or rise)?
One more thing. Go real slow for the blonde in the room. I don’t speak math.
IMHO:
It should be around 5% or maybe drop to 4.7% by end of Q3 this year on 30 year fixed rate home loan.

son is in Iraq.has had one judgment in the past when they moved out of an apartment 3 months early but that was satisfied. He enlisted for 6 yrs.He has a wife and 3 yr old.Why type loan would he qualify for?
No and if the judgement is still showing up he will not be approved for a VA loan or any other type of mortgage. To get the VA loan he has to be in the reserves for 6 years and then after the 6 years he will be able to receive the VA loan
How low do you think mortgage rates will fall in the next 6 to 8 months?

I live in Raleigh, NC . I’m wanting to buy a house some time this summer. I have a FICO score of 700+. I’m looking for 170K to 200K house with a 5% downpayment. what kind of interest rate can I expect for a standard 30 year fixed mortgage?
The Mortgage Rates right now are 5.63% for a 30-year fixed and 5.08% for a 15-year fixed. There is really no way of knowing if the rates will continue to fall. They can change daily! However, you may be able to get more for your money. Raleigh/Cary had an increase of 122% of foreclosures last year. There are going to be more people looking to sell quickly, which is good news to the buyer!

My wife and I live in a home legally donated to us by family. We have ownership. Can we use this home as collateral for a mortgage loan on another home in another state? If so, how does that work?
Don’t see why not. Each state has different rules and regulations regarding this particular matter.
